If you remember from my sketch last week I chickened out on doing the face profile. This week when I saw the picture I cringed because I wasn't sure if I would be able to do the face. And I really wanted to try this time! Although it doesn't look like Kelly I am pleased at how the face profile came out. Boy did I have trouble with the nose at that angle. I must have done it over 5 times and gave up! And then of course there are the hands. I have kept it no secret that I have had alot of trouble with hands since the beginning of this challenge. I knew I wanted to have her holding a heart and hope it is a pleasant distraction!
Check Kelly's blog later when she will be posting all the sketches for this week. I am excited to see everyone's work!
Great job Cathy!! I just went over to see the original. You're getting pretty good! She looks just like Kelly! Keep up the good work! :-)

ReplyDeleteCathy she turned out very well, quite pretty and I love the heart. Again, we sort of had the same inclination only I added a puppy.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy,
ReplyDeleteLovely sketch! I really like pencil sketches. And like you said in one of your posts, mastering the human body is challenging. But it's so worth it! Keep on sketching!
Great sketch. You are doing really great. Each day you just keep getting better and better. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteCathy, this is wonderful--you are improving each week!

Great job! The details on her face are super and love the heart! Pat yourself on the back Cathy!
ReplyDeleteCathy, she's great. I think your improving for sure..we all are. The profile turn out great. I had trouble with the nose, too. Couldn't really see it clearly. Don't shy away from the hands. You got to tackle it. (Although I avoided it totally, too, this week!) :)
