Sunday Sketches

I am glad to finally be back for Sunday sketches. This girl was done with graphite and colored pencil using techniques I learned from Jane Davenport. She shares an easy technique for
figure sketching backs.

I am not a big fan of using colored pencils, I do not really like the gritty look they give. I am partial to graphite with its smooth and easy blendability. Graphite also eliminates the color factor which is always a challenge for me. But I did try to embrace my pencils with this sketch.

I am sharing her over at Sunday Sketches today. Check out Sophia's blog for inspiration! Hope you will join us sometime!

  2. Ooh you must stick with the coloured pencils - I am such a fan. I love my prismacolors because they are so waxy and blend together really well. You just keep on building up layer after layer. I absolutely love them!

This is a lovely sketch... more please!
