PicTapGo And An iPad Yes or No??

I took this photo back in December at the walk trail I long to go back to.  Since I have been sick with this stinkin flu I have not been up to walking or much of anything really.  Its 3 weeks now and I am still not back to 100%.  I have alot of rib pain from all the coughing which seems to be getting worse and not better, the pain not the cough.

Anyway, I tried a new app called PicTapGo for the iPhone.  I added the filters with that app and you can get some really cool effects with it.  It will also save your recipes and it recalls your "style" if you will.  I highly recommend it!

I have also been thinking of and resisting getting an iPad.  I use my iphone for my photography and digital art.  It is pretty small but what I can do with it is amazing.  I hardly ever go on the computer and open up photoshop anymore.  The phone makes it so darn easy!  I have been reading some blogs and checking out the digital art created with the iPad apps.  There are some cool ones for drawing and painting.  And then I thought that maybe I should just keep it old school, stick with paper and pencil.  I certainly do not need another digital device to become addicted to!  But I bet it would be lots of fun to sketch digitally.

Do any of you have an iPad?  If so do you love it??
Let me know!

Self Portrait Play

Honestly I don't know what I did without that silly iPhone.  I find that I use it more often than my computer for altering photos.  I have so many images on it and with all the cool apps to use I get lost in the creativity.  Its just so darn convenient and easy to use.

I don't really partake in self portrait photography.  Most likely because I am not so comfortable with images of myself.  But creatively I am a changing.  So I wanted to share a selfie that I took yesterday and altered with the Art Studio app and snapseed on my iphone.

Hope to do more of these.  Next time I will try to have makeup on!  lol

Digital Collage Love

Created this on my iPhone with the fun art studio app.  I used one of my paintings and a recent photo of some trees along the walk trail I frequent.

I am a fan of inverting colors.  Not sure why.  And recently I am drawn to yellow, a color I really did not like too much.

Hope you are all doing well.  Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is upon us already!   And I hope that in all the holiday craziness you find some time to remember . . .

Turning a WIP Collage Into Cool Photo Art

I started collaging an old canvas board with torn up pieces of my NYC photography.  Typically I do not enjoy collage.  It frustrates me.  But for some reason I really got lost in ripping and gluing these pieces down with no thought to placement at all.  I try to remember to take photos during the progress of my pieces and did so with this.  What I did not expect however was to find a really cool image.  I shot this at an angle just playing around with my iPhone and loved what I saw!

I then took it a step further and put the image in the 'be funky' app which has some cool borders.  I also grunted it up a bit so it would have a more distressed antique look.

Yesterday I printed it out and think I will hang it up!  You never know where an image can take you.  Even something as simple as a photo of your WIP.  Try it sometime!!  I would love to see what you create!!
